Summer Safety Tips

Don't allow kids to play on balconies or roofs or near open windows that don't have some sort of barrier.

Supervise children at the playground and make sure they use age-appropriate equipment.

Look for playgrounds where  surfaces are covered with mulch, fine sand or rubber.

Make sure kids wear the right protective gear such as bike helmets, life jackets, etc.

Supervise children at all times when they're around a pool, lake or other body of water, including the bathtub. Never leave children unattended around any water for even a moment.

 

The Stork Missed My House ~ An Infertility Journey

It's early one crisp spring morning and they are proudly riding their tricycles around the court, their cheeks rosy from the chill in the air. The sunlight dances across the roof tops and a large robin proudly sings as she roosts on the peak of a nearby home.

Seeing this, I smile to myself as I remember not feeling the simple joy found in early spring and as those seasons passed into years my moments of joy seeming to be less and less frequent.
